i love the show. although when i was catching up with season 1 i was also watching Buffy and Angel, so i kinda mixed up the minute differences in their respective vampire mythos. however true blood is quickly becoming my third favorite show, after buffy and angel...

i love true blood!!!! its my favourite program and i love the way the vampires are traditional and not the new type that can be out in the sun and can eat and all that type of thing. its great to see a program going back to the old legends and having modern twists Smile

OH, and Because Bill and Eric are HOT!!!!!!

I have quickly come to really enjoy this show. At first I thought it be just another show attempting to cash in on the recent vampire craze that's going on nowadays but in spite of that I checked out the first episode and just with all the episodes it ended on such a shocking note that I had to continue on in the series. Every episode has some shocking/un-forseeable aspect to it, and all this adds suspense as well as intrigue. Where in some other series the characters start of well developed and get shallower as the story goes on these characters change and get deeper with every episode. In fact I haven't even finished the second season yet, I'm excited to continue in the series. Oh Amy was a really fantasitc character too bad about what happens (trying not to spoil anything for anyone) and Jessica is very cute in fangs I enjoy her character a lot.

True Blood

Post  IrishCol1only on Thu Apr 01, 2010 1:52 pm

My all time fav show ... cant wait for Season 3 to start! As I live in Northern Ireland, Season 2 has only just aired here, but since I've discovered this site I'm up to date now with whats been aired in the States! From the very first episode this show had me hooked ... apart from the storyline itself the characters themselves add so much more that it sets it apart from all other shows of this genre! The characters have so much more depth and the way we are slowly finding out more about each one of them as the seasons develop is brilliant and keeps me wanting to come back for more! This show makes The Vampire Diaries look like High School Musical! I love the fact that True Blood is much more hard core without going over the top with gruesome, grisly scenes but still making me gasp...and I so want to visit BonTemps, have a beer in Merlottes served by Sam (swoon) and lunch cooked by Lafyette!!! lol

I was slightly disappointed with the main storyline in Season 2 with Marianne, but all the other underlying stories that developed especially with Ryan, Bill and Sookie were excellent as was the story with Eric and him trying to find Godric his maker...this gave us some insight into what makes Eric tick and throughout Season 2 we got to know all the charcters on a more personal level! If this is a sign of things to come in Season 3 then I cannot wait! I haven't read the books as yet so I have no idea whats in store for Bill after how Season 2 ended, which was brilliant! I am purposely holding out on reading the books as I dont want to know just yet whats in store although I do believe I have read somewhere the show is not truly faithful to the storyline in the books, so best not confuse myself anymore than usual! Roll on summer! Smile

It has a unique setting, interesting characters and the main ones are likable as well, good script, great storyline - even a sense of humor.
