A Call for Being Human

This was originally a one-off TV movie on BBC 3 which was picked up for a 6 part (1hr episode runtime) series. Series 2 is commissioned and coming soon.

2 hospital porters rent a house that has had very short tenancy in the past due to "spookiness". The 2 new tenants find out why. It is haunted by a young woman who died after falling stairs.

The ghost is driving people out of the house because this is the dream house she moved into with her financeé.

The 2 new tenants are fairly non-plussed. They're being a swarve vampire and an insecure werewolf.

Set in Bristol these 3 unlikely personages try to recapture their humanity and "live" a normal life. Labelled as a dark comedy by the BBC this is an excellent take mythalogical creatures in the modern world given a unique English twist. A most inportant third side of the Buffy/Angel and True Blood triumvirate of modern mythos.

Most enjoyable and if you can get access to iPlayer, just completing its 2nd run
