no audio on the wire series

Thanks for this great site. I am getting no audio on the wire programs, all else work wonderful. Anything special I should do?

The wire episodes seem to be working here.

Is your divx player up to date?

I'm having problems with the Wire also. In internet explorer the first episode says "the downloaded file is not a div x file"

I have reinstalled DivX twice now hoping I had an outdated player but I believe everything is good in terms of my internet and Divx. Is there some patch or something I need?

Sounds like an audio codec issue. I'm not sure what the files are encoded with, but try this :

It covers most major codecs. Every pc i've tested the wire files on has worked, so it can't be too exotic.

I have a mac, and I don't think I can download those codecs which are for windows.

Based on using google, this seems to be a mac version :

I don't have a mac, so I can't test it. Let me know if it works, if not I'll try and find another fix.

I had perian installed already and it didn't work. Ended up watching season 1 from youku. Man that took a while.. (smiles).

I could watch the first episode fine. But now its dix the video plays, but I can't get any sound. Any ideas how to get it to work? I could watch the shield episodes when it was using divx.
